Hi, my name is Sharon Gaskin and I’m the founder of The Trainers Training Company. After a 13 year successful corporate training career I took the plunge and went freelance in 2002.

In my early days as a freelance trainer, I had all those feelings of panic too. I hated the whole idea of marketing and selling, the constant pressure of trying to get work and the uncertainty of knowing if I would get any money from 1 month to the next. I got disillusioned with going to networking events that didn't get me anywhere. I used to despair about how I would ever get corporate clients and breakaway from low value associate work.

Quite frankly - I was a good trainer but I didn't know anything about running a training business.

It was only when I started to figure this out that life got a whole lot easier. Slowly but surely I learnt how to do the right things the right way and built up a successful training business with clients such as Zurich, Europ Assistance and Lloyds.

I know from personal experience that life as an independent trainer can be lonely. Whether you are just starting out or more established in your business it’s very easy to be thrown off track, have your confidence knocked and to feel like giving up. It can feel like most business advice out there is not really tailored to freelance trainers like you and not really helpful to the business you want to create. When I was starting out as a freelance trainer I often wished I could talk to someone who not only understood what I was going through but who could show me better and quicker ways of getting my business to where I wanted it to be.

How Does 1 to 1 Coaching Work and What Does It Cost?

You have three options:

Option One: Getting Started Programme £145 a month

Ideal for those of you just starting out as a freelance trainer and unsure on which direction to take or for trainers who are in the process of leaving a corporate career and so need to take things that little bit slower.

This 6 month telephone programme enables you to schedule one hour-long session every month. I will be supporting you by email in between sessions and can provide constructive advice on all aspects of launching or developing your training business.

You will also receive an Action Plan at the end of every session which will be sent to you via email for you to work on.

Option Two: Growth Acceleration Programme £265 a month

Ideal for those of you who want to grow quickly or who have been trading as a freelance trainer for several years and need a new approach.

This 4 month telephone programme will really help move your business forward.

You schedule two hour-long sessions each month, have me at the end of the phone for “emergencies” as well as full email support .

You will also receive an Action Plan at the end of every session which will be sent to you via email for you to work on.

Option Three: Face-to-Face Session £295

If you are able to travel to the West Midlands, I can arrange a face-to-face meeting for up to 2 hours.

These sessions are ideal for you if you prefer face-to-face meetings, prefer a one-off planning session or wish to discuss a particular project in more detail.

Of course, if you feel that none of these options is just right for you I can work out a package to suit your particular needs and circumstances.
